Edge of Reality: Great Deeds
Play Edge of Reality: Great Deeds FREE for 90 minutes here
Listed on Big Fish Games as a hidden object game, you'll find Edge of Reality: Great Deeds. There are actually several Edge of Reality games but I believe this is the first one that I've played. Would I classify it as a hidden object game? Probably not. Adventure would be better, I'd definitely call this an adventure game.
Your character is a mother & your daughter is missing. She recently was nominated for a Person of the Year award after opening a new animal shelter in the City & you've gone to Iceland to celebrate with her. For some reason, there is a tie-in to a local volcano's eruption & the disappearance to ALL of the nominees for Person of the Year. Your task is to find out who is responsible for the disappearance of your daughter & also rescue all of the pets in the City. No pressure! lol!
The graphics in Edge of Reality: Great Deeds are quite good. There are quite a few cut in scenes of dialogue as you work through your journey. Mostly they're with the person you're working on the investigation with but sometimes you're talking to yourself. It's not so much that it's overwhelming & you can skip out of it if you want. The actual hidden object parts of the game show up as mini-games. That's why I would classify this as an adventure game rather than a hidden object game. There just weren't enough hidden object features in it to me for it to fit that genre.
There is a Collector's Edition of Edge of Reality: Great Deeds but I don't know if this 90 minutes of free play will give you a fair representation of it. The reason I say that is because this is a demo. I only know that because I completed the demo in 40 minutes. Had I not done that, I never would have known.
Considering we're still under a stay-at-home order, you might at well take the time to play a new game! I've given you the link, like I always do, so you can play Edge of Reality: Great Deeds FREE for 90 minutes. Yes, you get this one for longer than an hour. Let me know what you think of this one & be sure you subscribe to my blog. You never know what I'll review next.
